A MUZM archive interpretation of one of Oakley’s most experimental early-1990s silhouettes, bringing the rare Sub Zero “N” lens shape back in Planet X with modern Prizm Sapphire optics.

Oakley traces this design language to the early 1990s. Its official MUZM documentation says the eyewear that evolved into Sub Zero appeared in the Max Fearlight television spot and describes the original Sub Zero idea as an attempt to create eyewear weighing less than 20 grams.
For this MUZM edition, Oakley specifically returned to the original “N” lens shape from 1993. The Planet X treatment references the archival “#4” look while updating the optics with Prizm Sapphire.
The piece handled by YGW is OO9425-0328, with a Planet X frame treatment and Prizm Sapphire lens. It is new with box. The metallic blue crackled treatment appears on the lugs and stems, with red Oakley branding and the distinctive one-piece shield silhouette.
Rather than assigning an unsupported launch year to this exact MUZM edition, YGW records the date Oakley explicitly documents for the design it revives: 1993 for the original N lens shape.
